Why is it that people closest to you have the biggest problems with your dreams and aspirations?
Many would say it is ‘because they love you’, or, its ‘tough love’. I’m not so sure anymore, especially when God is involved. Yea- that’s right, GOD.
Take one example (from many) in the Bible – Joseph. God gave him specific, awesome, and almost unbelievable dreams that he never lost sight off. Yet his family, yea FAMILY who were God fearing folk (supposedly), were negative, jealous, critical, and frankly, couldn’t wait to get rid of him. Even through all the lows of slavery and jail, Joseph stuck to his guns: God’s plan. To everyone else, he seemed nuts and careless, but Joseph possessed what they did not:
1. Faith
2. Vision
3. Endurance
Be encouraged - everyone has their own path to walk. Remember – that often people will not understand you. Those closest may even criticise and ridicule. Stop – looking for approval from that person, its not going to happen Always – stick to your guns: God’s plan.
