Interim Ideals

by bignorm on December 26, 2009

It is official: The Jet-lag has gone!

Our US-family Christmas in Seattle is proving to be a treat; Lots of presents, too much food, and precious small talk about about little and lots. I always love the interim period between the old and the new – its perfect for restful reflection, realignment and re-motivating oneself. If, like me, you have had a roller coaster year of dramatic ups and disastrous downs, NOW is the time to sponge the slate clean again.

New year, new decade, new beginning.

Frankly, I’m choosing to capitalise on the crap from last 12 months and utilise the great – waste nothing, use everything. The age-old adage “whatever does not kill you makes you stronger” is paramount: no regrets, take all and use it for gain, the sorry-assed emotions – dumped.

I am excited.

Here are a few early pencilled goals:

  • Feast on scripture
  • Yearn for the Fathers love
  • Love, listen and give like I should
  • Be me, love me, forgive me
  • Stop comparing
  • Accept help
  • Admit failures

There will be more, yes, there will be more..

Keep recycling,
