Rarely do I feel a tear coming on, but yesterday, during class, we watched Jonny Cash’s last video Hurt that he made before passing away and it really moved me.
Never have I witnessed such a raw, honest and accurate account of a man reflecting on his life before his imminent passing away.
Cash’s wife died shortly after this video was made and he died just a short while after her. It seems that he has an acute awareness of this during the clip it’s the looks in those eyes..
Dim the lights and turn the volume up, and have a tissue ready, for a brief account of an honest man reflecting on his life for the last time.
