The Cancer of Mediocrity

by bignorm on September 14, 2009

When Pastor-genius Dave Gilpin launched his first ‘humour’ book Rage against Beige, it was bought by retail giant’s IKEA in the UK and spearheaded as their national marketing strategy – and IKEA know a thing or two about strategy and marketing. Yet millions continue to slap on beige, or it’s horrible sister – Magnolia on lots of unfortunate walls.

Beige is boring and void of creativity. Simple as that. Yet why do we use it? In a word – Mediocrity: A most heinous and cancerous mindset that numbs our ability to think, kills our natural creativity and finally, forces us to settle for less than the best. Like a cockroach, if you spot it in one area, you bet there a thousand other infested areas close by.

I've been sayin' that for years – it's the Times New Roman of paint!
