I seem to be meeting more and more disillusioned Christians every day.
They range from people fed up with churches and their leaders, through to, disagreeing with certain doctrine and styles of worship.
What the flip is going on in God’s Church? Has it always been this way and I have just not realised it? or, is the church going through a spate of bad leadership, or even more promised persecution or demonic attack?
Maybe this is more local problem in Ireland? or is it going on in your local community too?
This post may damn me a bit, but, I feel burdened for my people. After all, the Apostle Paul reminded the Church leaders in Corinth, when one part of the body hurts, everyone suffers with them.
Come on leaders, God’s ‘anointed’ and those of influence in churches -
TIME TO GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER
The Church has been a variable factor over the centuries, let’s not make a complete mess of it and become the very things that Jesus saved his body from during our shift!
Yea, I am a whinge and a bit of a crank, and yea, it’s easy to sit on my fat bum and type recklessly about such dire matters, but don’t you feel that today’s post has a ping of truth?
Feel free to encourage me, concur with my thoughts, or tear me to shreds on this. I honestly wish it were different here, but locally, all I hear is whispering and negative chatter which seems to be coming from a deep discontentment of their church life.
Before I go, I want to leave you with a wise quote from a friend during our discussion this morning on the topic of Church.
“You cannot judge how good a ship is until you hit stormy waters”

This doesn't surprise me at all – the caliber of "leaders" at Ebrington left scars on me.
Leadership is a bit like being the Police Service of Northern Ireland – You are damned if you do, and damned if you don't
