The Mistaken Russian Disciple

by bignorm on April 29, 2009

With the spread of swine flu, the cogs of my brain got moving..

Is it possible to avoid death?

Jesus said that it is in the Bible – check out Mark’s Gospel.

This guys friends tried this theory out on him:

According to legends, Russian mystic Grigori Rasputin was first poisoned with enough cyanide to kill ten men, but he wasn’t affected.

So his killers shot him in the back with a revolver. Rasputin fell but later revived. So, he was shot again three more times, but Rasputin still lived. He was then clubbed, and for good measure thrown into the icy Neva River.

Rasputin must have been mistaken for a Mystic instead of Jesus believing Disciple. His refusal of rigor mortis had some of the supernatural, life-sustaining trademarks that Jesus offered to his disciples at the end of Mark’s Gospel:

“they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all;”~ Mark 16:18

Could this work for swine flu?

Was it not him that corrupted the Russian monarchy?
