Origins

It’s hard not to write about your devotional life (devotional = prayer & Bible study usually) when you choose to blog directly after it in the morning, given it’s positive, mind-altering properties.

I promised in ‘loop’ that I would not turn this into a proselytising corner that is constantly trying to dupe you into reading about God. ‘Cos the truth is that some of you are landing on this page and frankly, you don’t even believe in God at all. That doesn’t mean that you and I are not friends. And it doesn’t mean that we can hang out or discuss the shallow things and the BIG questions too. But it means that you are free to read and challenge me, and critique me if you want; I really don’t mind.

I am wise enough to know that I, and every other person that has ‘faith’ have only a personal interpretation of God and what the Bible says to them. If I didn’t believe in God, and particularly Jesus, and I stumbled on this blog, I would challenge me.

Today, the sun will shine and everything will look brighter, usually smell’s better (not around my bin area though), and feels better. My faith lets me understand the big ‘whys’ and the ‘hows’ when I gaze at the sky and ponder at nature for just a second. I’ve believed in God for most of my life to be honest, but only really understood the message of Jesus Christ in the last five years in particular.

As I said, not all the visitors and traffic to this blog will believe in Jesus, God or even that there is a battle with good and evil. But, I must confess that I have truly forgot what is feels like to have no expectation of a sovereign entity, or even an afterlife during days like this. Eternal life that is. I have forgot what thoughts rested on my mind on a day like this regarding creation and the ‘God’ question/s.

Setting aside all the religious nuts, people who go over the top with God, and those who have committed wrongs to society in the name of God for a second; In the purest sense, I desperately crave to know what non-believers actually think about the BIG questions.

Can you help me?

If not, enjoy a BBQ or a siesta this afternoon, or maybe both.
