If you read my blog you will know that Monday is techinically my ‘day off’. Its a day were I tidy up, do shopping, blog, and sometimes study. On top of that I usually fit a workout in, visit a friend or family members, read a bit, check and respond to emails, open post, do some washing and somewhere in the middle or after take my beautiful fiance Emily on a date- phew!
The cupboards are always bare on Mondays, yes I like to eat a lot. With Tesco being just around the corner it seems like the most natural place to shop for the ‘big things’. What always amazes me is the diversity in shopping malls and the cosmopolitan nature of ’supermarkets’.
Shopping is very a basic, fundamental thing that we all need to do to eat or live usually. I meet the same people every week doing the same routine as me up there, just getting on with life. Its interesteing that we almost feel on a par with each other when humbly pushing around our trolly; I mean its like a wealthy manager or CEO could be beside you and there is no real royalities or special lane for them when checking out. We are all just trying to buy some stuff to live. I always feel somewhat vulnerable when shopping. Its a basic human function that we all have to do like brushing teeth, going to the loo or paying our biils. Nothing special, just straight forward.
I really dont know why I wrote this blog about this stuff, but I guess it give a little insight into my mind and how I think. The unspoken, inner most voice conversations and emotions as we don the mundane stuff are the ones I really like to talk about. When we discuss this stuff its amazing how many people are on the same level. Some good comedians, like say .. Billy Connelly have made thousands out of this type of stuff.
Tis all from me today. Im off to strike more off my Monday lists.
Stick us an ‘oul’ comment if you have a min.
PS- The aisle signs are getting rediculous already
